Luke worked as a personal trainer and sports massage therapist for over 6 years before becoming an Osteopath. As a youth he played Rugby to a high standard and Squash at county and regional level. For the past 10 years he has concentrated on Powerlifting. His top three lifts are: 182.5kg Bench press, 230kg Squat, 260kg Deadlift. Although a passion for strength training and it’s relation to structure and function is a big influence on his osteopathic approach; his treatments don’t involve lifting heavy weights! He has tailored treatments to restore the optimum biomechanical function in a wide variety of people including athletes, the elderly and expectant and post-partum mothers.
He brings experience from his previous clinics in commercial gyms and his City Practice. Although he has treated people from many different backgrounds and professions, he has particular experience treating those having to balance their enjoyment of hard physical training with the sedentary demands of their work. Whether resolving pain, improving posture, aiming to prevent injury, speeding recovery or maximising athletic performance; treatments may involve: Joint manipulation, massage techniques, western medical acupuncture, strength and mobility exercises and ergonomic advice.
